MISSION STATEMENT

Apollo Junior High School Library will provide faculty, students, parents, and staff with access to a wide variety of instructional resources and services in order to promote responsible citizens who will become lifelong learners.

POLICIES

CHECKOUT

It is our philosophy that a book does no one any good sitting on a shelf. Therefore, virtually all of our materials are available for checkout and there are no quantity limits.

Checkout period is 2 weeks and the fine for late materials  is 10 cents per day.

PARENTS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO CHECK ITEMS OUT OF OUR LIBRARY

PRINTING

A copy machine is available for student use and copies are 10 cents per page.

Students may also print from the computer.  The first 5 pages are free and subsequent pages are 10 cents per page.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL

Students who arrive early may use the library beginning at 7:45.  These students are expected to have work or reading to do and an atmosphere conducive to learning is maintained.  The library is open until 4:00 for the same purpose.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Since we are on a Union catalog, it is possible for us to request items from other libraries.  It takes a couple of days but students are welcome to make these requests.
