Book Review Prog.

The book review program was implemented to provide librarians with current books and media to review for possible additions to the collection. Administrators, parents, teachers, and librarians review books and media on a monthly basis.

Review materials are accepted into the collection according to district guidelines. They either support the curriculum or provide students with reading materials for enrichment or pleasure.

In the 2002-2003 school year, 615 reviewers submitted 3338 reviews for publication in the monthly review booklets that are distributed to all librarians. Reviews are also sent to publishers that participate in the review program along with a sample review booklet.

Parents interested in participating in the program should contact the Library Media Services office (469-593-0738).

Book Review Forms

	Online forms have dropdown boxes for certain choices, including type of reviewer
	The default reviewer is "parent"
	Other reviewers, such as administrators and paraprofessionals, will need to select the appropriate reviewer type
