Each 6th grader is creating an Analogy Project of Cell Organelles. This project will include illustrations of each cell organelle and an analogy for its function within the cell.

	World Book Student- Click on this link, and then click on the World Book Student logo. Search for cells, then go to the section called "Inside the Living Cell."

	Biology4Kids.com- This web site gives detailed explanations for the different cell organelles and their functions.
	Cells Alive!- Click on the diagram for an animated cell model. Click on the organelle names for a definition.
	Cells by Enchanted Learning- Click on Animal Cells or Plant Cells for labeled diagrams and definitions.
	The Virtual Cell- Gives you 3D images of organelles and a pronunciation guide.

Analogy Ideas
Use your creativity to compare a cell and its organelles to the various parts and roles of a city, shopping mall, airport, restaurant, school, government, or country. You may even have a better idea than one of these!
