Bowie's Sixth Grade Library Links


Science in the News- Sixth graders are locating and analyzing current events that relate to a scientific concept. They will fill out the Science in the News form to help them with their analysis.
Student Tips- Remember the search strategies discussed in class.

Online Resources
To access "Online Resources from Home," click here. Use the passwords Ms. Harker has given you.
	Gale Student Resource Center Jr. - Scroll down to search the science subject tree, or type your topic for a keyword search.
	eLibrary- Click on the "Topics" tab at the top to browse articles related to science.
	Student Research Center- Use "Search by Topic" to browse science-related articles, or do a keyword search for a specific scientific topic. (This resource can also be accessed through the Kids Search link.)

Web Sites
	Time for Kids- A current events web site for kids. You will need to read the article to see if there is a scientific connection.
