Looking for something fun to do this summer?
Here are some ideas!!

Read If you read a great book over the summer, email Ms. Harker and tell her about it!
	Really Great Books! -Ms. Harker has made a list of fun books for you to read. Have you already read all the books on your grade's list? Then check out the grade ahead of you!
	Texas Bluebonnet Award- 3rd -6th graders can start reading this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award nominees. Keep track of the Bluebonnet books that you read. If you read 5 or more books from the Bluebonnet nominee list, Ms. Harker will invite you to her Bluebonnet Voting Party in January 2009!
	Summer Reading Program- Don't forget to fill out your summer reading log. The PTA is offering many rewards to Bowie kids who spend part of their summer vacation reading. Click here to print out this year's reading log. Jr. High Students (former Bowie 6th graders)- Click here for the Jr. High Summer Reading List.
	Dallas Public Library- Visit the Fretz Park Branch at Hillcrest and Belt Line. Make sure you participate in their Summer Reading Program; you can earn lots of prizes!

Learn with the Net
	Cool Summer Web Sites- Ms. Harker has found some fun web sites for you to visit. Expand your mind by visiting these sites! They offer arts and crafts ideas, games, movies, and more!
	Library Links- Revisit some of the cool sites you used for research this year. You may want to check out some of the sites that other grade levels use.
	Make sure you have your parents' permission to go to these web sites!
