Canyon Creek's Library Program |
|
| Our integrated library program is an extension of the classroom. Information skills are taught
and learned within the context of the classroom curriculum. An open schedule is maintained
in which teachers sign their classes up in the library for a unit of study for the amount of
time needed to complete the information gathering process. Information skills instruction is
given, support of research process, access of all materials needed, and reading guidance
are all part of this program. Our library program is enriched through visiting authors,
illustrators, storytellers, special guests, and reading incentive
programs.
