Staff and teachers
Books checked out for three week periods.
Students and parents:
Books checked out for two week periods. Kindergarten may check out
two books. Pre-K may check out one book at a time.
Library schedule for students
All students have a set library time. Kindergarten
students come to the library every week. Pre-k and PPCD come to the
library every other week.
There are open times in the library for teachers to
sign up to bring their students for small group or whole group activities or
research projects. These special projects should be collaborative
projects designed and implemented by both the librarian and classroom
teacher.
Reader's Club
Reader's club is designed for small group reading (4 to 5
students) and
research activities. Groups meet at least once a week in the library for
thirty minutes. We will read a variety of award-winning books and
follow up with fun activities such as crafts, role playing as well as
creating our own stories. I'll also work with the classroom teacher to
create activities that relate to specific themes or topics.
