Meet Your Librarian!
Mrs. Cindy Mahon is the Jess Harben Elementary School Librarian! Mrs. Mahon recently earned a Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University. She also has an Education degree from Arizona State University and taught Junior High English for two years. Mrs. Mahon thoroughly enjoys reading and would love to help you find a great library book to read!!

Library Policies
Library books are checked out for a two week period and may be renewed. No fines are charged for overdue books, however, students with overdue, lost, or damaged books lose check out privileges until books are paid for or returned.

Classes are scheduled regularly to come to the library for lessons and research. In addition, teachers may send individual students or small groups of students to use the library. In this case, students must have a library pass from their teacher.

The Jess Harben Library Media Center strives to:

1. Teach information literacy in collaboration with classroom teachers

within the context of the content curriculum.

2. Inspire and develop a love of reading.

3. Provide diverse materials and services to enable students to

become life-long learners and effective users of information.
