Information |
Brainstorm
Come up with as many topics as
you can that your outside reading novel addresses. Choose the one that
you could narrow down to a specific topic.
Thesis
After you have contemplated your
ideas, think about particular aspects you want to research. Write a
thesis statement that narrows your topic to manageable, researchable idea.
Annotated Bibliography
Find five sources that deal with
your issue. Make sure to vary your sources (printed articles, articles
from websites, magazines, academic journals, reference books, actual books,
etc.) You should use your outside reading book in your bibliography;
one source must be a "visual" (graph, chart, or picture). Be cognizant
of the sources you use. Anyone can "publish" an article on the Web;
therefore, Mrs. Gilliam will accept only credible sources as an entry.
