About the LibraryThe library media center contains over 11,000 items including books and
audio-visual materials such as videos, computer programs, projectors, a scanner and
digital cameras. The library is fully automated and has 8 computerized
on-line catalogs with Internet access.
The library is open daily. Each class has a regularly scheduled time
for book check-out. However, students are encouraged to come to the media
center as often as they would like to exchange books, use the computers, or to
do research. The rest of the time the library is open for teachers to
schedule library lessons that will correlate with the classroom curriculum.
The Prestonwood Library Media Center was
remodeled in 2006 with new walls, windows, and technology equipment. The remodeling
enclosed the library, so classes can comfortably use the library.
