Foster Care
Gilly is a foster child for Ms. Trotter. Foster care affects many families
and so we have questions. Our school counselor will discuss various things
about foster care with us including how kids become foster children. |

Character
Charts
Occasionally, we will stop to identify and discuss the emotions our
characters are experiencing. This is a character-driven plot so
understanding how our characters grow and change is important to
understanding the story.

Prediction
Chart
We will be working on predicting the plot as we finish each chapter. The
larger question is what will happen to Gilly?
