Activity: making gak
How can the aliens change shape? What is happening to their molecules?
Discuss states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma
Use this data sheet to get it all straight.
What phase of matter is slime?
Why does it make sense that the aliens' natural form is the same as the slime?



 


 

Book Questions:
1. What is it about the first two paragraphs on page 1 makes you want to read more?
2. Is Frank's reaction realistic when he first talks to Zymel in Chapter 2 (page 15)? Do you think you would have reacted the same?
3. Zymel does something on page 28 to Frank and Frank is very offended, what was it & why is Frank upset? Should he be upset?
4. On page 40 Zymel meets Corny & Zach, what happens? Did Zymel do the right thing?
5. Chapter 4 is titles "Suspicions." Why?
6. What happens at Mr. Pixley's barn? Who is Mr. Gilroy with SPONGE?
7. Frank and Zymel are in class together on page 71. What are they doing that they shouldn't be?
8. What happens to Frank in Chapter 6? He's really frightened and by page 78, he suspects everything he sees. Is he overreacting?
9. What happens when Zach brings his dog over to Frank's house? What could be the problem with how Zymel and Frank handle it?
10. Where is Fek hiding?
