by Stephanie S. Tolan
FIC TOL

Read the book and then pick two of the projects below to turn in to Ms. Enriquez.

Pick two scenes from the book & retell it from Winston or Destiny's point of view.

Describe how Jake changes in the story. Give examples from the story to support your statements. Try to tell the reader why Jake does what he does at Wit's End. Was it realistic and believable?

If you were a student at the Creative Academy, what would you be studying this year? Write an outline of your curriculum, including all the subject areas and projects you'd cover.

Create 2 pieces advertising for the musical at Wit's End.
You can make:
a jingle or song,
a magazine or newspaper ad displayed on a poster,
a web page
a 30 second TV or radio spot.
Include the important details:
names of the stars, the director, as well as, the location, date & time.
Do your own illustrations on paper-based projects (no computer cut & paste). You may use any media you'd like.

Choose one scene from "The Sound of Music" and design a set with costumes. Present your design with a diorama or model. Show your research to support your choices about the costumes and setting.

Write a song, poem or rap about the story and/or the characters.
